For her show in the ReOrsa Project Space, Gemma turned it into a section of a giant mantlepiece or shelf with giant postcards and extra props.
As well as looking at the themes and concerns as taken from her statement with the painting Cowes - Isle of Wight she adds to them by accentuating the strangeness in making these postcards so huge. Achieved through the addition of a painted postcard reverse as well as scaled up props, a giant pencil, paperclips and drawing pins.
The pencil, paperclips and drawing pins were kindly created and supplied by John Peacock Precision Engineering Ltd, Hurst, Berkshire.
