All That Remains (ReOrsa Artists Project no. 5) - March 2011
Group exhibition of the ReOrsa artists with works relating to the theme "All that remains". More Arts space, 43c Peach Street, Wokingham, Berkshire.

The exhibition was a selection of work by 17 artists who responded to the theme 'All that Remains' and was curated by ReOrsa founding member Tonia Maddison.

All that remains suggests a residue, something left over or abandoned, the remnants of time passing, of erosion, decay; it also suggests the changing form of things, transformation of something that seemed transient or even something that once seemed permanent, immutable.

Gemma submitted her ongoing sound piece Cassette Postcards, which like the postcard it is based on is a remnant of a trip, a memory that often lacks context. Secondly it is also a recording medium that has since been superseeded and is no longer used in modern equipment.
